Medical and Prescription Drugs

Werner Enterprises offers medical coverage with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield to full-time employees and their eligible dependents. Employees are eligible to enroll during the first 30 days of employment and coverage becomes effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Available medical plans include a range of coverage types (single, single plus spouse, single plus dependents, and family coverage) and cost options that offer the flexibility to select a medical plan to obtain care and service from any provider in the network you choose. You may also choose between a traditional PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) and two High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP). If you choose an HDHP, you are eligible to receive company contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA) – provided you establish an HSA account. You may also contribute to your HSA to pay for eligible medical expenses; however, the amount you contribute is subject to annual IRS dollar limits. The medical coverage includes prescription drug coverage with the nationwide pharmacy network of Express Scripts.
